Save Minneapolis Restaurants
The Labor Standards Board Proposal threatens
revitalization efforts in Minneapolis.
Recent Press
What is the threat?
Minneapolis has some of the strongest employee protections in the country, but the City Council is proposing a Labor Standards Board filled with unelected appointees that would add a layer of bureaucracy to create new standards on top of the current protections.
Why does this matter?
This would make it harder for every business owner to operate in Minneapolis – especially restaurant owners.
Running a restaurant isn’t like running other businesses. One-size-fits-all regulations don’t take into consideration the restaurant operator’s unique business needs, and end up hurting restaurant operators, employees, and customers.
The bottom line…
Listen to the small business owners in your community. The Labor Standards Board Proposal is unnecessary and could stifle revitalization efforts underway across the city.
Local business owners want to be able to make wage, working condition, and benefit decisions that make the most sense for their employees and their communities.
